Some truth burns.

Esaa Space Station Opera House —Six minutes and forty-one seconds after the curtain rises on the premiere theatrical event of the season, 587 people burn to death in their seats.

It has been over a decade since the end of the war, and these were quiet days. For those who could afford to pay, peace was for sale. Or so they thought. There is nothing tranquil about a fire bomb; in fact, it sends a messy message - loud and clear.

Detective Aurora Harlowe leads the bombing investigation to uncover the truth behind the attack. As one of the last Ohahlian Truth Seers, her super-sensory ability to detect lies is highly prized by the Pact. However, working for the Pact responsible for the genocide of her people makes her job… ethically uncomfortable. To the surprise of no one, it’s been her experience that ‘truth and justice’ don’t align with the ‘law and order’ of an authoritarian empire.

To put it simply: Aurora has a trust problem.

As she investigates the attack, each bit of evidence scratches away at a gilded veneer of luxury, revealing a mess of rancid corruption gurgling beneath the surface.

The Pact does not like to be threatened, disturbed, or questioned — but solving this case might require Aurora to do all three.
